Everyone is looking forward to see a bright light shining on their pathway guiding them to success and i will like to use myself as a example. To see my own path and route to success - I would need "lights" and it is you(my readers) who will help me walk my path without any unseen obstacle ahead of me and in order to keep the "lights" around, i need to use my time, passion and effort to keep the "lights" alive otherwise darkness sets in and i will be lost forever facing my obstacles without knowing what's in front of me.

Time Spent on Blogging
Time management is very important and it should be on of the most effective tip to become successful in blogging, you need to be able to schedule a certain time frame for your daily post to happen otherwise it will be hard for you to continue. There are different types of post that you can try and use it on your blog. The time frame stated is according to my own experience and also based on my own opinion so if you need less or more time, try to adjust it according slowly to your preference.
-
1 Hour Blogging - It only requires 10 minutes of reading a website that you want to review and takes another 30 minutes to create a post with 4 paragraph of your personal thoughts on the program and another good 20 minutes to create screenshots with checks on spelling mistakes on your entire post.
-
4 Hour Blogging - The most common use is a 4 hour blogging schedule and it requires more research than writing. Have a topic you would like to gather information on and take a good 3 hours surfing on the net or you can use Stumbleupon to randomly search a related category and find a list of links that is relevant to the topic you are going to talk about. Next put them altogether and create a post in 1 hour.
Passion in blogging your niche
Don't try to start a blog about 'Make Money Online' if you know nuts about it and for your information 'make money online' blogs don't necessary have to make money to start one, you need to have the passion in the topics and also the ability to create one tip after another to fill up your hungry readers with information that they want to hear from you.
Are you up to it?
If you believe you are then this is your interest and your passion. Even if it is saturated, i will suggest you brain storm and start to think what can you do to turn the table around and make yourself a different and unique make money blogger. Like what Charles had recently blogged about picking a niche vs sub-niche, "Niche is one of the past and Sub-niche is the present which you can focus on." Have you decided on which market that you want to put 100% focus on and be that expert?
Effort that pays you triple the amount
The effort that you put in to make money online will be your biggest profit and is one of the key ingredient to become successful. Why do i say that? Blogging uses the formula of TXPXE=S (Time x Passion x Effort = Success) and the success you gain is priceless.
A blogger's success does not come overnight and neither does it come just by buying another blog which was once famous, it takes effort to build the trust between you and your readers who frequently read your style of blogging.Social media networking is the hottest term you can find on the internet, it brings you good referral traffic and also the ability to communicate with many online friends and yes it requires you to put in effort to communicate with others.
Is Making Money Online with a blog easy?
The startup and your first move is the most difficult hurdle that you require to pass and it is also the breakpoint where many people lose confidence in making money with a blog and quit after not seeing signifcant results. When one of the formula don't work for you, then it can never give you a final result that you are hoping for.

Thanks for posting this. I get so tired of reading posts about how a 15 year old started a blog and three weeks later they're pulling in four figures of income.
Nice to see someone telling the truth - that it's hard work that's going to bring in the money.
I'll second that. I know I poured more hours than I should have in the beginning but it was worth it.
Four hours a days sounds about right and that is where I'm at now.
I run four blogs and two on a regular basis. One comes out weekly so I have two days to get it together (working with others) and have it out for the week.
Blog if you love it but don't expect things to happen overnight. It takes a lot of research and a good work ethic.
If yo're not a self starter or observant where your get your information you might not get very far.

I've Stumbled this article because you do a good job prepping folks for the reality of blogging income.
cheers
This was just so honest from a money maker like you, at least you don't talk about food like John Chow. I have subscribed on your Rss Feed!
I guess you are right, i have been spending way too much too on researching that i take around 6 hours to write one article. I need to cut that down to a reasonable 4 hours.

I agree - I'm tired of those "get rich quick" scheme websites and those that promise thousands of dollars within a few days. I'm trying to make a site that will provide a day-by-day guide for people to make money.

There are schemes, and money online comes easier and easier. However, your desire to make more and more becomes greater and greater. I used to be complacent with $5 a day. Now I would be complacent with $500 a day. Someday it could take $5,000 a day to appease me!

I agree completely. I think a lot of people, especially newbs, are suckered into believing that they can spend 2 hours a day on their new blog and will be raking in the cash by week two. It's nice to have someone telling it how it is... it's a lot of hard work and effort to make money online from home
