Acutally this plugin is pretty simple, needs a little tweak on the codes and you are ready to have one plugin available for blogger.com, maybe it was too simple so no one actually bothered, but i need one for myself so i guess the rest is history! Maybe now the blogger.com community can use the updated plugins on their blogger.com and hopefully it can be found much easier on google and other search engine, which i was trying for the past 5 days and i was frustrated why i could only find WP plugins for "Buy me a beer", are WP users the only one using them or was my search keywords all wrong.

Even for me to search under keyword "Buy me a Beer" was under constant hits for WP users to use this plugin.
How Blogger's can use "Buy me a Beer" Plugin
Here i will teach you how to have your plugin installed on blogger, firstly i will let you have a look at the simple code you need and 3 steps to install this wonderful plugin to blogger.

Install it in your blog in 3 simple steps
(Only those in red are to be change and leaving the blue text untouched):
- Host your own Beer.gif which i have provided for you
right click on the picture and save it, copy the URL that you have hosted the picture into the code in red.
- You will need a and if you don't have one, its time to get an account, its free and require to with your full details. After which use the email that you have registered with paypal and input to this red code i placed under number 2, this email is very important since it directs your viewers to the correct place to buy you a beer!
- Change the contents and update to your preferred text, this portion can have unlimited text as long as you project the key message to your viewers so that they will buy you a beer!

Hah... I made my own 'Buy me a beer?' thing for my blog. It took me a while to figure out just how to do it, as I'm no technical whiz, but I like the results. It goes well with the rest of my blog. But I would have used yours, if it had been out when I was trying to find the code for a Blogger site. Nice of you to create it, and put it out for folks to use.

Hello. My name is Joey. I recently discovered your blog, and I am trying to put the "Buy Me a Beer" donation thing on my blogger blog, but I cannot get it to work right. Every time I do it, and then view the page, its says "Submit Query" and then has the anchor text beside it. I cannot get the pic of the beer and the actual anchor tag in the same page element, as blogger calls it. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? The paypal portion of it works properly. Oh, more thing... when the link is directed to PayPal, it still shows Buy Me A Beer, though I've replaced all "beer" words with "coffee" in the codes? I followed everything strictly and don't why beer still appears
Lastly, is there a way to hide my email address as anyone can hold their cursor over the buy me a coffee link and see the email address that it goes to, also when it gets directed to PayPal landing page, is there a way for it to show my name instead of my PayPal email address? It bothers me that I might get tons of spam or phishing emails because my PayPal email add is visible.

I tried out the wordpress "buy me a cup of coffee/beer" plugin idea for a while on a few sites of mine. It was a very poor performer in comparison to adsense and I ultimately removed it because I didn't like the "yet one more thing asking for making money" on the page. I got a grand total of 1 donation of $3 out of it. Maybe I didn't have the right kind of traffic for it, but other methods can give much more of an impact.
