Sorry we do not want you anymore
We all know that CEO David Sifry was asked to leave not only the director board but Technorati Company and we also know 8 men were also fired by him to cut off expenses and the CEO position will turn over to a group of company execs, while they source for the right man to take over soon.
"Teresa Malo, CFO, Dorion Carroll our Vice President of Engineering and Derek Gordon, our Vice President of Marketing, will operate as a committee of the Office of the President, jointly focused on the day-to-day management of Technorati and achieving some important, very strategic milestones. This committee will report directly to our Board of Directors."
The Rise and Downfall of Technorati under Sifry Hands
There were many rolling good times with Sifry and how he helped Technorati build itself to this current stage is amazing. So what actually happen that created Sifry Downfall and a hard kick out of Technorati, David Dalka believes Technorati’s Google SEO tactics may have accelerated Sifry’s departure and while surely Technorati Party had well ended.
Sifry reminds me of the Jack and Jill story so i changed the version a little.
Original Version
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Unoffical Technorati Version
Sifry and Technorati rose up the internet
To gain a pile of Tagging
Technorati got stop and broke its search results in Google
And Sifry came tumbling after.
WTF Technorati
Their mini broadcast gave us something to read on Sept 27 2007 as they would like to inform everyone that they are experiencing "a few technical difficulties" and read more? but what's more to read when that was the pathetic lines you wrote, nothing more that i could read and understand what's going on.
If you were to look under "discussion tab", you will know what i am talking about, the list is flowing and some even hop on to other topics and replied looking for answer from those who are also looking for answers, talk about being desperate to get a little support from the team. The mob will continue if nobody handles this in time.
- My blog is not pinging for hundreds of day
- My authority is not updating even when i have backlinks
- I am not able to claim my blog
- My top title changed to 403 forbidden and weird texts
I love Technorati but...
While i am not suffering from all of these problems my authority and pinging is way overdue and my plead to get to look into this matter seems to go un-notice even when i provided my site and also the url that have given me link back which should increase my authority and my fee is updated always while my readers are not getting the updates from Technorati. I really hope Technorati will give us good news in the next coming weeks or so..

Hi! Small clarification. It wasn't really the SEO tactics - it was bragging that those SEO tactics worked out in the open on his blog that caused Google to cut off the juice. Somehow that tidbit seems to get lost every time someone links to this post, but hey I'm glad you enjoyed the post! :)
Please visit my bio page and send me an email reminding me of your post, fixing the pinging is usually pretty simple. I'll at least make sure yours is set up like mine.
