I was reading on both Darren Rowse aka Problogger (for many who knows him by his nick) and Andy Beard and found contradicting post on both ends. Problogger speaks of “How social booking improves your blog rank on google” while Andy has it that “Digg, Wikipedia, Technorati and many other Social Bookmark will destroy your google ranking and results!”Now should i be linking my post to these services or just keep it to my current categories label that i have in blogger and allow google to spider me using ping services?
I guess you will have to decide on whether you should link your post to them or not.To find your results in google, i always use you can find your post indexed on google.

The good side of using social bookmarking
Darren Rowse had it well explained in his "Social Bookmarking is good for your blog rank", The key in social bookmarking is to ensure you tag extensively to the post like and Google respects tagging because it reflects people’s idea of what your blog is posting about.
Rohit Bhargava came up with the term Social Media Optimization (SMO) and some of his suggested rules that you can read to learn more.Social bookmarking should come from readers who respects and think your blog is worth a read to others and they can have your post bookmarked or voted. Social Bookmarking plays a big part in getting your blog contents to travel and be made known to others.

The Dark side of ALL
Andy Beard "Destroy Your Blog Rankings Linking To Digg or Technorati") tells me that all bloggers who have used extensive linking to digg, technorati or social bookmarking will project a negative indication of quality, how true is this and as disclosed recently by google and its patent's application for blog ranking documentsAnd bill slawski's "positive and negative ranking factors from google's blog search" and in short summary bill's got it all here stated:

The positive factors include:

• How many RSS subscriptions there are to the blog,
• How often people click on a link to the post in search results,
• How many blogrolls the blog is in,
• How many "high quality" blogrolls the blog is in,
• If the blog offers visitors the chance to tag posts, whether people are tagging them,
• References to the blog by sources other than blogs,Pagerank and others
  

The negative factors include :

• If new posts appear in short bursts or at predictable intervals,
• If the content of the posts doesn't match the content of feeds from the posts,
• If the content includes a lot of spam related keywords,
• If a lot of content is duplicated in multiple posts from a blog,
• Whether posts are the same size, or roughly the same size,
• Link distribution of the blog,
• If posts primarily link to one page or site and others.
  

To bookmark or not
This question will be posed by bloggers who reads both their post and realise the confusion made by both bloggers, both having their points and both have very good reasons to use and not to use. What should i do, seems like i am sandwiched in between and i do not know what to do next, god damn it, i just want my blog to be indexed by google and see results, tell me how i can do it!!

I will list out 6 ways to getting your blog listed on search engines:

1. A quality link from a single Web site can improve your ability to get listed on google and major search engines.
   
   
2. A link from a reputable website can allow your blog to be indexed by google even if they have yet to spider your blog.
   
   
3. Ensuring that your link relates to your contents and blog's vision. eg. If you are talking about dogs, it always good to get backlinks from dog related website or blog to build your ranking in google.
   
   
4. Submitting your blog to major search engines and directories
   
   
5. Exchanging relevant links are a good way to let google trawler to search for your site for the first time.
   
   
6. Keep posting great articles and exciting contents and google will hunt you down with their bots sooner or later
