Do you know why users join in forum, other than just chatting and posting topic and uploading videos for other users to see. Their primary purpose is to serve as a free ad for their own website.
Always join forum that are related to your hobbies or to your website so whenever you have your links posted, users will be able to co-related and enter your website, you may want to have your url input to your control panel under "signautre", then ensure you post in the forums that you join so that your links will be everywhere in the forum. It is very viral and indeed for me i niched out a few forums that are popular for internet marketing.
